Hi!  I'm Natalie Kaplan, wife, mother of 2 great kids and the founder and sole proprietor of Wish Bedding.  I'm delighted that you've taken the time to visit my little shop and to learn a little bit about what inspired me to venture into the children's bed linen business.

When it was time for my daughter to move into her big girl bed, I wanted to get good quality, affordable, washable, AND inspirational linens that would excite my little girl. Like many of you, I wanted the room to be beautiful, not only for my daughter, but for myself as well. I mean, don't we all live a little vicariously through our children?

I had thought the task of shopping for this would be simple and the choices plentiful.  Well... I was wrong. After searching the city – department stores, big box stores and linen boutiques, I was shocked at how few GOOD choices there were. Most options were licensed and poorly fabricated. Some were quilts that were a little too thin for our Canadian winters. Other linens were more expensive than what I had on my own bed! What I thought would be a simple shopping experience quickly turned into a grand expedition.

They say necessity is the mother of invention and I quickly determined that something needed to be done for the good of all Canadian children and their frustrated parents! (Imagine trumpets blaring now!)

. . . and in 2008 Wish Bedding was born.

With a background of packaged goods marketing,  a huge willingness to learn about the textile industry, and a willingness to listen to parents like YOU,  I believed I had the tools to bring something unique to the Canadian retail landscape. The new baby I created is my other pride and joy and I sincerely hope that you take delight in your shopping experience with us.
